Saranac Lake Winter Carnival

The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival is a beloved annual tradition celebrating winter with 10 days of fun, featuring parades, live entertainment, outdoor activities, and the iconic Ice Palace. Rooted in history and community spirit, the carnival brings together locals and visitors for a season of magic, camaraderie, and classic winter festivities.

Ice Palace: The Ice Palace is built for the duration of Winter Carnival, weather permitting. It will be illuminated nightly from the lighting ceremony and fireworks on Saturday, February 7, until closing on February 8.

Mushroom Meanders

September 21st, and October 19th

With the guidance of mushroom enthusiast Sandy Bureaus, head out for an afternoon of mushroom hunting along the AIC trails. Walks will be held every third Sunday at 1pm starting in May and continuing through October. Registration is not required but encouraged. The Schroon Lake Fish and Game Club is hosting a St. Patrick's Day buffet on March 16th from 3-6 pm. The auction will begin at 2 pm, and the drawing will take place at 6 pm.

Sticks and Stones in Schroon Lake will be open, on April 8, 2024, for a Full of It Party to celebrate the Eclipse!

Halloween at Paradox!

Head to the brewery on Saturday, October 26th for a Halloween celebration at Paradox Brewery. 

3-5pm: A fun filled afternoon with hay rides, goat pen, scavenger hunt, outdoor taps, pizza by the slice and treats for the whole family!

5-8pm: When the sun goes down the Halloween party begins! Full drink lineup, costume contests, and spooky atmosphere. Prizes given for the best individual, couple, and group costumes!
