Free Dance will be offered to students entering Kindergarten-12th grade every Wednesday in July and Monday in August at 6pm at the Overlook Pavilion in Newcomb!

Release the Loons!

The only competition of its kind, our custom designed and made in America loons launch into Rich Lake to land in the winner’s circle. Prizes will be awarded to the three loons that land in the designated floating competition rings. 

Are you ready for some exciting news about the 2024 Rubber Loon Dive season? We're thrilled to announce a brand-new event - The Rubber Loon Dive! 

In the past, our loon competitors have shown off their speed racing down the river. But this year, we're switching things up and putting their diving skills to the test. We want to see which loon will take home the title of the best diver. 

Join us for the fun and launch your loon into the lake (or we can do it for you!) and see if they can land in one of the top three floating rings. It's going to be a splash

It's about Wine: Wine tasting and silent auction benefit for the Town of Chester Library, sponsored by the Friends of the Town of Chester Library at the Friends Lake Inn. Great wines, fabulous hors d'oeuvres, silent auction of gift certificates for restaurants, goods and services, art, jewelry and much more, raffles. Enjoy this festive gathering and support this amazing community resource, our library.

Neighbors Care is on a mission to spread light and love to our elderly community this holiday season through our special care boxes. Our goal is to enhance the lives of seniors in Ticonderoga, Putnam, Hague, Moriah, and Crown Point by bringing joy, fostering a sense of belonging, and embodying the true spirit of the holidays.

Art Mural Festival 

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming Art Mural Festival, set to take place on Saturday, June 7th, 2025 in vibrant Downtown Ticonderoga! This will be a day to celebrate creativity, culture, and the incredible talent of local and national artists, and we would love for you to be a part of it.

The event will feature live mural painting, interactive art installations, food trucks, local vendors, music, and so much more. It’s going to be a fantastic celebration of all things art, and we want to make sure it’s on your radar and that of the businesses you represent.

The 10th annual Minerva Spring Garden Workshop will happen on April 20, 2024, at 10 am at the Minerva Community Center. Topics include: 

• Drying Herbs
• Lawn Alternatives
• Keeping Tools Sharp
• Community Gardens 
• Good Bugs, Bad Bugs
• Dahlia Basics- growing and propagation 

Master Gardeners will be there along with a Garden Book/Magazine/Garden Tools and Pots Recycling Table, Garden Raffle, Handmade Garden Cards, and a buffet lunch.
