Adirondack Buffalo Company

Welcome to The Adirondack Buffalo Company of North Hudson, owned and operated by Dorreen and Steve Ossenkop. The farm, nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in North Hudson, New York, is home to a herd of about forty American Bison or buffalo as they are commonly called. In the late fall and winter, it's only open by appointment only. So call first at 518-532-9466 to confirm. Adirondack Buffalo Company is one of the area's favorite attractions. Visitors enjoy seeing the buffalo from our spacious deck and shopping in our gift shop for bison products, fresh produce, baked goods, gourmet foods, rustic furniture, and souvenirs. Pine Cone Mercantile

Pine Cone Mercantile is a unique home furnishings store in the heart of the Adirondacks, dedicated to a modern spin on rustic interiors. Offering everything from furniture to candles, to bath & body products... they focus on searching out unique and special items! Also located in the back of the store is North Woods Bread Co, baking fresh bread five days a week. Both are open year-round in downtown Schroon Lake.

Schroon Lake Farmers Market

We aim to expand access to local & high quality foods and products, and create a space that fosters relationships between the Producers and the Consumers. As shoppers, learning where our products come from and where our money is going towards is key in supporting regional food systems and independent businesses. We are grateful to hear the stories and education Vendors can share on what it means to be a Steward of land, to tend for animals, to be a maker and a grower, and to be an independent business owner. The people and communities that go into making a Market are invaluable - let's continue to support one another.

Markets are held every Saturday from 8am to noon at the Schroon Lake Town Hall, mid-June through Labor Day weekend.  You'll find all things fresh, local, and homemade! Produce, meat, maple syrup, butter, cheese, artisan baked goods, ready to eat breakfast, and more... everything you need! We will have special entertainment and guests weekly, come check it out!

North Woods Bread Co.

Rustic breads baked in-house, accompanied by local cheeses, homemade granola, and organic coffee. Open year-round.

Maple Knoll Farm

Visit this delightful sugar house to learn about how maple syrup is made and purchase syrup, maple jelly, and more!

Adirondack General Store

Our historic general store - one of the oldest in the Adirondacks - is located on the East Shore of Schroon lake in the hamlet of Adirondack. Come enjoy old world charm with some added modern twists! We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and takeout and catering are available.
