Adirondack Buffalo Company

Welcome to The Adirondack Buffalo Company of North Hudson, owned and operated by Dorreen and Steve Ossenkop. The farm, nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains in North Hudson, New York, is home to a herd of about forty American Bison or buffalo as they are commonly called. In the late fall and winter, it's only open by appointment only. So call first at 518-532-9466 to confirm. Adirondack Buffalo Company is one of the area's favorite attractions. Visitors enjoy seeing the buffalo from our spacious deck and shopping in our gift shop for bison products, fresh produce, baked goods, gourmet foods, rustic furniture, and souvenirs. A New Beginning to Long Time Favorite Spot!

February of 2024, the Hay family purchased the property formerly known as Gokey's Outlet Store. Join us in our journey as we transform the property into an Adirondack destination spot. 
The property will include a multi-vendor antique and vintage store, in addition to our outdoor seasonal flea market, and will also be the home of our small business, The Family Cow Soaps.

The Family Cow Soaps

The Family Cow Soaps started as a way to provide the family with a better, more gentle, soap for all the hand washing needed while living on a farm. We also noticed a huge difference in our skin during the cold dry winters of Northern New York. Chapped dry hands became almost obsolete after switching to our handmade milk soap. Cow milk has lactic acid, which is a natural alpha hydroxy-acid for skin renewal. It also has vitamins and minerals, like vitamins A & E, that are in the finished product of the soap. These vitamins are particularly good for skin. Milk soap also contains natural glycerin and the cream from the milk gives additional moisturizing properties to the soap.

Here at The Family Cow Soaps we have a main line of ALL NATURAL milk bars and a couple ALL NATURAL vegan bars available. We do however enjoy the colors and scents of some man made products, therefore resulting in some fun artisan soaps as well. We hope you enjoy using our products!
 

It's About Thyme Farm

It's About Thyme Farms is a 2009 Proven Winners Certified Garden Center. Through the iGarden program, the owners and employees are provided with plant selling tips, customer service tools and merchandising techniques to help them better serve consumers in helping them select and grow the right Proven Winners plant varieties for their individual gardening needs. In the fall they have acres of pumpkins & gourds, apple picking, beautiful mums and fresh produce available.
