Steamboat Landing on Blue Mountain Lake

Steamboat Landing was originally built in 1886 as a boathouse for steamboats that brought passengers and freight to the big hotels that existed at that time in Blue Mountain Lake.

Blue Mountain Lake is known for its clear, clean waters making it a perfect place to visit. Steamboat Landing has a variety of updated accommodations for your comfort. Many suites are equipped with full kitchens. There are 9 Main lodge rooms, 4 cabins, two-family style house at the water's edge and an Icehouse suite. Find a dedicated family of three who bring together hospitality, history and a space for guests to enjoy the Adirondacks. Enjoy lakeside lodging with peaceful mornings, afternoons of exploring, and spectacular evening sunsets. Visit steamboatlandingadk.com for more information.

About the owners:

We are a family of three from northern New Jersey. Sarah started vacationing in Blue Mountain with her family in 1973, and Jeff equally fell for the beauty of the Adirondacks while dating Sarah 30 years ago. In 2003 we purchased a second home in Blue and have always valued our quality family time together here.

One of our favorite things about Blue Mountain Lake is being able to share it with others. We have had incredible adventures and amazing memories in Blue with family and friends. We want this to continue. Jeff’s dream was always to do this ‘bigger’ and we all share a vision for what that will look like at Steamboat. At Steamboat Landing, we are ready to enjoy this beautiful place with you. Our hope is that you can visit and create your own memories.

Jeff is a real estate agent for Terrie O’Connor Realtors in Wyckoff, NJ. Sarah works in Midland Park, NJ for V&S Floor Covering, a retail flooring business. In the fall of 2020, Ethan graduated from Messiah University in Mechanicsburg, PA with a degree in Finance. Ethan manages all aspects of Steamboat Landing and is a licensed real estate agent in both NY & NJ.

Motel Long Lake & Cottages

Come relax, work, or play where the forest meets the water.

At Motel Long Lake and Cottages, you can choose between our updated mid-century motel - eight bright, comfortable rooms with a touch of retro charm - or one of 20 individual lakeside cottages, from one-bedroom hideaways to larger lodges perfect for families.

Set directly on the shores of Long Lake NY, our property offers an authentic Adirondack experience in every season. On summer mornings, you can stroll down to the dock, pick up a complimentary canoe or rent our pontoon boat and spend the day exploring the lake’s quiet coves. Evenings bring loons calling across the water and campfires under the stars.

We welcome pets in select cottages, because for many guests, adventures in the Adirondacks aren’t complete without four-legged friends. And for those who like to linger longer, our monthly and extended stay options make it easy to settle in for a season - whether you’re working remotely, taking a creative break, or simply enjoying small-town life at your own pace.

In winter, nine of our cottages stay open, offering a cozy base for snowy walks, local celebrations, and the kind of peaceful stillness that defines the Adirondacks at this time of year. Our winter cabins all have fireplaces, perfect for thawing out after a day outside.

Proudly owned and operated by the Stryszowski family since 2008, Motel Long Lake has grown and evolved with care - always keeping the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that makes guests feel part of our community.
