Adirondack Birch Tree Cottage is great for families with kids! This modern, rustic vacation rental in downtown Indian Lake is the perfect getaway retreat with lots of room to spread out and enjoy easy access to Adirondack mountains, lakes, and forests.

There are three bedrooms upstairs and an open living room, kitchen, large artist studio, office, and porch downstairs. In the backyard, there is a beautiful lawn with a small orchard. This is a non-smoking cottage.

We provide six sets of towels and cotton sheets for two double and two single beds. Two single couches are also available.

Lewey Mountain Outfitters is an Adirondack four season camp nestled in the mountains of beautiful Indian Lake. Our goal is to provide a safe, clean and very well stocked camp experience for you so you can enjoy the beautiful Adirondacks. You will definitely want to come back for more! This camp borders thousands of acres of Forever Wild land in the Hudson Gorge Wilderness area.  Walk across the street and bushwhack for miles and miles.  OK Slip Falls trailhead is less than a mile away.  Skiing at Gore Mountain is 10 minutes away.  There are endless things to do in the area-fishing, skiing, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, kayaking, canoeing, beaches for swimming, Class 3 whitewater rafting, rail bikes, and multiple museums.  

When you enter the camp, you walk into the mud room which has a washer and dryer for your convenience.  From there, you will enter a new kitchen, with an electric range, refrigerator, microwave, and numerous small appliances including a coffee maker and Keurig.  This kitchen is equipped with many staples including sugar, flour and a great variety of spices. Feel free to help yourself to all items that are stocked in the pantry. 

From the kitchen, you enter an open concept Great room which has a futon, queen sleeper sofa, and comfortable chairs to enjoy the 70" SMART television with Frontier Wi-Fi and DISH TV. Many books, magazines,  maps and brochures on hiking, fishing, hunting, birdwatching, and awesome things to do in the Adirondacks can be found in the late 1800s hutch between the kitchen and Great room.  Air conditioning is also provided.

There is a dining room with a Farmhouse table and chairs. There are ample Adirondack dishes and flatware.  We have added a wine cooler for enjoying cold beverages of your choice. 

The bedroom offers 2 closets, a dresser, a  full size bed, chair, nightstand, floor lamp and TV also connected to DISH. All 3  beds include sheets, blankets, comforters and pillows. It is a quiet space to relax. You will find a pack and play and numerous baby and childrens items throughout the camp.   Last but not least, there is a full bathroom including a shower/ tub.  We have provided all the amenities in the bathroom for your convenience. Towels are provided.  

Off to the outside- The front deck off from the dining room includes a new Weber grill with chairs and patio table for all your BBQ needs and includes a view of Black Mountain.  Head to the back of the camp and sit in Adirondack chairs surrounding a double sided fireplace with a pizza oven as you listen to the rambling stream.  Or relax in the hammock while enjoying your s'mores.  Open up the toy box (shed) to find complete fishing gear, snow shoes, trekking poles, and hiking backpacks filled with appropriate necessities.  The toy box also has games for young  and old alike including corn hole, lit yard darts, wiffle ball and bat, kickball, bag chairs for the beach and other fun items.  Down at the garage, feel free to use the 10 ft row boat, or the two single and two tandem kayaks that are there.  There is plenty of parking at the garage for extra vehicles.

Lakefront cabin on Lake Adirondack, 15 feet from lake shore. Great views, 100+ feet of private lake front, privacy, quiet, wildlife, large property with wooded and cleared areas, apple tree, shade trees, wild flowers, flowering shrubs, private dock. Adirondack Lake is a small, quiet lake. 

Cabin set back about 150 feet from a quiet road (the road dead ends 1/2 mile past our driveway). 

A perfect place for a quiet retreat, bird watching, star gazing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, reading, writing, photography, and as a base for exploring the Adirondacks. Great hiking within 15 minutes (including Blue Mountain, Snowy Mountain, Chimney Mountain) . Shallow lakefront ideal for children. Deep water raft a few minutes swim or paddle away. 

Watch eagles, loons (and hear their haunting call), ducks, an occasional otter. 

Fully equipped, simply and comfortably furnished cabin with full large eat-in kitchen, full bathroom with tub, enclosed porch, living room, two bedrooms. Canoe, rowboat, private dock, lakefront outdoor fire ring, BBQ, outdoor furniture, heat, phone. Rollaway bed provided.

Although we do not have wheelchair ramps, there is only one step to the cabin door. We have had several renters in wheel chairs in the past who reported that the set-up worked for them. If you have special needs, please check with us to see if it is appropriate for you. 

The property setting is very private; you will see several docks from our lake shore; the only houses you can see around the lake are about a mile away. 

We have two cabins on the property and they are close together. We only rent one; the other one is for the owners use..The owners may be there when someone checks in on Saturday, but they will leave the next day or the owners may arrive on Friday night and be there for check-out on Saturday. Nobody but the renters will be there at other times unless it has been discussed with the renters in advance, before the rental is confirmed. 

Town of Indian Lake has two golf courses, restaurants, movie theater, small grocery stores, crafts galleries, farmers market, laundromat, rafting, outdoor stores, general store, marina, library, post-office, health center, and a large lake (Indian Lake) ideal for speedboats, water skiing, exploring.

The House

Our main floor includes the third bedroom with two twin beds and the third full bathroom, while the living room opens up to a furnished deck with beautiful lake and mountain views. The house is equipped with DirecTV satellite HD TV, DVD player, telephone and high-speed wi-fi internet. Enjoy excellent mobile coverage from Verizon Wireless, Sprint and AT&T during your stay.

The Bedrooms

The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, DirecTV tv, walk-in closet and offers a magnificent view of the lake and snowy mountain. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and an annex fourth bedroom with two twin beds perfect for kids. A third bedroom is located on the main floor in the front of the house. Both bedrooms upstairs have full private bathrooms.

Pike Point Amenities

Lake Abanakee is ideal for kayaking, fishing and swimming. Our waterfront features a boat dock, private beach and campfire pit. There is a washer and dryer available for all your laundry needs. Smoking is not allowed inside the house, but dogs are very welcome (sorry, no cats due to allergies). We have a propane gas grill on the deck for all your family barbecues. You are free to use any of our 4 kayaks, 2 paddle boards and a large canoe for any of your lake pleasure cruises. A 14′ aluminium fishing boat with a new 15 hp Honda motor is also available. You will find plenty of life jackets stocked in the walk-in full basement.

Sandy Beach Camps is located on Route 30 approximately 4 miles south of the Indian Lake village. We have five rental cottages — four waterfront and one set back from the water. The views from Sandy Beach Camps are breathtaking in all directions, with the High Peaks region located to the north and the Kunjamuk mountain range directly across the lake to the southeast.

Our beach is for the exclusive use of Sandy Beach Camps guests and is one of the largest privately owned beaches on the lake. Sandy Beach Camps also offers dock space for your boat, and there are many islands and inlets along the lake waiting for people to explore. Boat rentals are available nearby at the Indian Lake Marina.

There is a 5 percent discount for seniors (62+ years old) and military.
