Explore a historically significant part of the Adirondacks the old-fashioned way: by horse! Great Camp Santanoni, now the property of New York State and open to the public, was once the Adirondack getaway of a wealthy downstate family. In summer, visit and enjoy gorgeous scenery — the 5 mile long gravel carriage road does not allow vehicular traffic — and tours of the historic camp by engaging volunteers.
