There is more to a forest than what meets the eye!

In this hands-on program your homeschooler will work with an ESF researcher to uncover the ecology of northern forests. While learning about careers in the environmental field they will practice research techniques and work to uncover the effects certain animals have on our forests.

Subjects touched on in this program: Forestry, wildlife biology, ecology, math, and statistics

This program meets at the Adirondack Interpretive Center (AIC) at 9:30am and runs until 3:30pm. Exploring the Huntington Wildlife Forest is for students ages 13-17. Parents/guardians must stay on site during the program but are not required to stay with the group.

 

$20/student, registration is required.
