118th Regiment Encampment Weekend
Step back in time with the Adirondack Living History Association, 118th N.Y. Vol. Inf. Co. F and the Town of Newcomb for a weekend dedicated to American Civil War history. This immersive "Blue/Grey" encampment features living history demonstrations, skirmishes, and educational exhibits.

Event Highlights

Living History: Experience demonstrations of Artillery, Infantry, Cavalry, Medical practices, and Civilian camp life.

Tactical Skirmishes: Two scheduled skirmishes will take place over the weekend, based on "The Battles of South Mtn. (Fox’s & Turner’s Gaps)."

Saturday Night Special Event (7:30 pm – 9:30 pm): * Guided Candlelight Walk: An evening tour based on "The Letters of Pvt. William Wood."

Artillery Night-Fire: The evening concludes with a dramatic night-fire demonstration.
