Schroon Lake Fourth of July Celebration

  • Sunday, July 4, 2021 - 12:00am

The Fourth of July is a Time for Celebration! (We’ll be doing it a little bit differently in Schroon Lake this year)

The Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce has been working with Town officials, with guidance from the County and Department of Health, to plan a July 4th weekend full of events we know will meet all requirements to keep everyone safe. The 66th Annual Schroon Lake Fourth of July Celebration will include our Adirondack Basket Raffle, Family Fun in the Park, a full lineup of Dock Street Stage bands, the Adirondack Artists & Crafters Market, Wakeboard Demonstrations, the Lions Club Food Tent, the return of the Patriotic Pride Decorating Contest, and more!

What about the Parade, you ask? We were challenged to find a way to provide a parade  experience (bands, classic cars, entertainment, fire departments, etc.) without closing Route 9 - which was not an option - and creating large crowds in a very small space. So instead of the traditional parade coming to you, we’re inviting YOU to go TO the parade - what we're calling our: “De-Constructed Fourth of July Parade”

We’ll be staging Bands and Performances on Main Street for you to visit, hosting a Vintage Vehicle Round-Up on Dock Street, and doing a Fire-Emergency Drive Around, ending with the traditional candy for kids (and kids at heart). More details and schedules will be coming soon (please note, we have no information about the Town fireworks display), but we wanted to let you know that the 2021 Schroon Lake Fourth of July Celebration is on!
